Saturday Afternoon

Great news No Blood clots in MikeyD's right arm all the test’s came back good. It was just swelling from the PIC line that was put in the right arm. Thank God. He is having a comfortable day so far the medicine is working.

MikeyD had speech therapy and had 4 spoons of chocolate ice cream and many ice chips. He is starting to chew them now which is awesome. The speech therapist asked him to blow his mother a kiss he lifted his head up and blew her a big kiss (lips only) !!! Right now he has finished PT and is having OT he is sitting in the tilt chair and she is working with him as we type.

Now my daughters Julia and Ciara would like to post below for everyone.

First I would like to thank everyone for the dinner’s. I have no idea which family sends what every night but Ciara and I have enjoyed every one of them and it is such a great help. Since we don’t usually know who is sending us what we want to think of a better way to thank everyone but I figured the blog was the easiest way to get it out there. Not only the dinners but the littlest things like thoughts and prayers that everyone has been sending out really do keep my entire family going. We feel like a simple thank you is not enough. I would also like to thank Sam Provenzano, Hunter Rotondo, and Mrs. Mahoney for helping me with the bracelets in school! It seems like such a simple task but it really is a big help! To my Aunt Jean Marie and Aunt Diane who without them we could not accomplish the bracelets, I don’t know how to thank you enough. You’ve taken such good care of us and these bracelets came out amazing. Thank you so much to Uncle John, Aunt Lynn, Uncle Seamus and Aunt Lauren for taking time out of your busy schedules to stay overnight at the house with us while mom and dad stay overnight at the hospital with our little brother Mighty MikeyD. Mrs. Dunne we can’t even begin to express my thank you’ s for your prayers and positive energy every day! There are so many people I would like to thank right now and I cannot get to them all tonight but just know how much we really do appreciate everything that everyone has been doing for us!

With Love from the Doherty’s

Please keep praying and posting.

  5. Thank you Lord Jesus for another good day for Mikey..We Thank You and we Praise Your Holy Name!! You are our Lord, our God, our Help in time of need, when we feel helpless..our Strength when we feel weak..our Light in the Darkness..our Hope when things dont look so hopeful..

Father Jeff wrote this in this weeks bulletin so I wanted to share this with ALL of you..we want to pack the church with Prayer warriors and bring Healing to Mikey...

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This coming Friday, October 5th, I would like to invite you to experience the Healing Power of Jesus Christ at our First Friday Charismatic Healing Mass that will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of God Church. I know that each person who comes to the Mass will receive some kind of blessing. Many who have come to past Healing Masses have received dramatic healings from Our Lord Jesus as a result of their participation in the Mass. These include physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological and relational healing. Of course healing is available at every celebration of the Eucharist, especially when we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus in the sacrament. "Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed" In fact, a primary purpose of the Healing Mass is to help people realize this very fact and to begin to exercise expectant faith for healing every time they go to Mass.

If you have never attended a Healing Mass this is what you can expect. As Catholics, we believe that healing comes through the Eucharist. Therefore, during Mass, those who receive Holy Communion are instructed to enter into the healing process by taking their needs and infirmities to the Lord at the very moment they receive the Eucharist. After the liturgy, the healing service begins. At this time the Blessed Sacrament is placed in a Monstrance on the Altar for exposition during which attendees pray and adore the Lord. The priest and deacon will then pray with individuals who wish to come forward for prayer. With the Holy Eucharist within us and the Blessed Sacrament before us we are embraced by the Merciful Heart of Jesus. In this embrace we are all united and the spirit of a loving community is created.

The response to this experience differ for each individual and has included such reactions as openness, awe, a desire to be healed, good will, inspiration, praise, contrition, petition, forgiveness, thanksgiving, and more. Many individuals experience emotions that are sometimes too powerful to express in words: all experience a deep peace. As I mentioned above, we know that each person who comes to the Mass will receive some kind of blessing. It is my prayer that you can join us this Friday and experience the Healing Power of Jesus Christ. A time of praise and worship will begin at 7:30pm and Holy Mass will begin at 8pm. ALL are welcome..Have a blessed week..In Jesus and Mary..Father Jeff Kegley

Please come and pray with us for Mikey..if you are not Catholic you can still come and pray with us for Mikeys healing..We are ALL God's Children we are ALL brothers and sisters..We can ALL come together and lift up our hearts for Mikey..Prayer is more powerful than anything on earth..

  15. Mike,Maire,Julia,Ciara,

    Everyone needs compassion,
    Love that's never failing;
    Let mercy fall on me.

    Everyone needs forgiveness,
    The kindness of a Saviour;
    The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
    He is Mighty to save.

    Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
    Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
    All my fears and failures,
    Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
    Everything I believe in,
    Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
    He is Mighty to save.
    Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
    Jesus conquered the grave.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
    He is Mighty to save.
    Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
    Jesus conquered the grave.

My Saviour, you can move the mountains,
    You are mighty to save,
    You are mighty to save.
    Forever, Author of Salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
    Yes you conquered the grave
